Jesus went down to Capernaum, a town of Galilee. He taught them on the Sabbath, and they were astonished at his teaching because he spoke with authority.
Gospel's Commentary
Today Jesus goes to the synagogue. He -who is the Lord, who is God- every Sabbath went to the synagogue to hear the Holy Scripture and to pray. Every Saturday! God himself, in the person of Jesus, behaves like a Man before God. We needed this example! We can no longer say that we do not know what to do to find God. He came in to stay: in the Eucharist!
—The Jews said: «What words these are! With authority and power He gives orders to the impure spirits and they come out! » How many problems can we overcome by going to the house of God!
