Jesus said to them, "Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing." And all spoke highly of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we may watch a curious scene. Jesus is preaching in the synagogue of His village. Everyone listens to Him with curiosity. Jesus Christ has read a prophecy of Isaiah and He claims it will be fulfilled in Him. They are amazed! But not all... A few maintain He does not come from God. There are quarrels and, finally, they want to throw Him off a cliff...
— Curiosity is not sufficient. Without faith, in the end, one ends up by tossing Jesus away.
