Jesus said to Nicodemus: “No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”
Gospel's Commentary
Today we once again see Nicodemus speaking with Jesus. A conversation on a “high level.” And what do they talk about at such a high level? That Jesus came down from Heaven in order to be raised up on the Cross. Incredible, unimaginable!
—Perhaps you think that, after all, it is not such a big deal… It is exactly the opposite: it is an enormous matter! Your eternal life is at stake, nothing less.
