Jesus encourages us to be servants of God. Without Him we can do almost nothing
Tuesday of the Thirty-second Week in Ordinary Time

Lk 17:7-10
"When you have done all you have been commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do.’”
Gospel's Commentary
Today Jesus Christ puts us in our place. We live in times when man frequently tries to take the place of God. For some centuries, the advances of science and technology have skyrocketed. That is good! The bad thing is forgetting God, thinking that we do not need any "god", that religions are a brake on progress or even that we are "god"... - But, have we really made much progress? The 20th century has the highest record of murders and genocides! And the scandalous poverty that still exists in the 21st century? Progress? We are quite useless ... If, at least, we were servants of God...
