Herod is troubled by Jesus' fame, asking who He is

Herod is troubled by Jesus' fame, asking who He is
Thursday of the Twenty-fifth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Lk 9:7-9
Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying, “John has been raised from the dead”; others were saying, “Elijah has appeared”; still others, “One of the ancient prophets has arisen.” But Herod said, “John I beheaded. Who then is this about whom I hear such things?” And he kept trying to see him.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we are facing another person looking for a "god-clown". He had his concerns ... But he did not exceed the level of the esoteric curiosity. Just like nowadays! "I was looking for him!" Wouldn’t it be better to "follow" him instead? When someone does not see his neighbor (because he kills him, tramples him, criticizes him, ignores him ...) he does not see God either.
