Herod is troubled by Jesus' fame, asking who He is

Herod is troubled by Jesus' fame, asking who He is
Thursday of the Twenty-fifth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Lk 9:7-9
Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying, “John has been raised from the dead”; others were saying, “Elijah has appeared”; still others, “One of the ancient prophets has arisen.” But Herod said, “John I beheaded. Who then is this about whom I hear such things?” And he kept trying to see him.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we are facing another person looking for a "god-clown". He was curious, but he didn’t really want to follow God. It’s the same today! Instead of just saying, “I was looking for God,” wouldn’t it be better to walk with Him and listen to Him? And remember: if we hurt other people—by being mean, ignoring them, or treating them badly—we are also not seeing God. To see God, we have to love the people around us.
