Friday of the Twenty-third Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Lk 6:39-42
Jesus told his disciples a parable: "Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?"
Gospel's Commentary
Today we hear the parable of the blind man who leads another blind man ... Both will fall at the same time in the same hole. An up to date situation!: we live in a time where we are "brave" for life, but rather slaves of fashions (clothes, toys, cars ...). To be a leader capable of helping others, you must be "critical" and demanding on yourself. - «If you do not have a friend who corrects you, pay an enemy to do it».
