One of the Twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?” They paid him thirty pieces of silver.
Gospel's Commentary
Today, with sadness, we see how the betrayal of Judas went. We can learn a lesson: betrayals do not appear suddenly; they are previously "cooked" in a bad heart. Dining with Jesus, Judas pretends: "Am I, Rabbi?" But before God there is no possible simulation; God is God and he sees everything: "Yes, you said it."
—Judas sold the Master for about $60. The perfume with which Mary anointed Jesus cost about $2,000. How much is Jesus worth to you? Which side are you on?
