Jesus openly declares to the Pharisees that God is His Father

Jesus openly declares to the Pharisees that God is His Father
Monday of the Fifth Week of Lent (C)
Gospel text
Jn 8:12-20
So they said to him, “Where is your father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”
Gospel's Commentary
Today the discussion about Jesus Christ rises in tone. He began his preaching in Galilee announcing the arrival of the Kingdom of God. He preached with exceptional authority, attended to all, performed miracles ... Normal people recognized that Jesus came from God. Now, in Jerusalem, he openly declares that God is his Father and, in addition, identifies himself with the Father. -Jesus is God, and God is a "family": Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That wonder is the one we discover listening to and accepting Jesus Christ.
