They came bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. Unable to get near Jesus because of the crowd, they opened up the roof above him. After they had broken through, they let down the mat on which the paralytic was lying.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we become aware that God touches upon what is essential in our lives. Everybody was expecting the miraculous healing of the paralytic but still, Jesus can surprise them even beyond their expectations: “Son, your sins are forgiven”.
- Or perhaps you thought God is not concerned about our health? Yes of course He is, but beginning with the health of our soul. Jesus starts from there… by what is really important. After, if it is fitting, with the health in the other matters. - What are my priorities?
