The evangelist of Christ's meekness

The evangelist of Christ's meekness
October 18th: Feast of Saint Luke, evangelist
Gospel text
Lk 10:1-9
And Jesus said to them, «The harvest is rich, but the workers are few». The Lord Jesus said to them, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few."
Gospel's Commentary
Today we thank St. Luke for a great "work": his writings (his Gospel and the "Acts of the Apostles"). The harvest is rich, but the workers are few? Well, there are the writings! They have spread all over the world, even to places where the apostles took longer to arrive. Luke had a very good education: he was a doctor! To write his writings, as a good scientist, he learned first (he did research). Twenty-one centuries later, there has been no more published writing than the New Testament. - If it was not enough, we now have the Internet: the Word of God travels the world at almost the speed of light (for free). If St. Luke had had Internet!
