Greatness in the Kingdom of God is not achieved by seeking power, but by serving others

Greatness in the Kingdom of God is not achieved by seeking power, but by serving others
Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
Gospel text
Mk 10:35-45
James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Jesus and said to him, "(...) Grant that in your glory we may sit one at your right and the other at your left."
Gospel's Commentary
Today we appear defending our "territory": we want to sit on your right and on your left! Oh, and the others? They don’t count too? That is why Jesus - with a great dose of patience - answers: "it shall not be so among you; whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and (…) slave of all." - "The Son of Man has not come to be served but to serve." That is Jesus! That is God! And me?
