"A man going on a journey called in his servants and entrusted his possessions to them. To one he gave five talents; to another, two; to a third, one... Immediately the one who received five talents went and traded with them, and made another five... But the man who received one went off and dug a hole in the ground and buried his master's money."
Gospel's Commentary
Today we hear the 'Parable of the Talents'. The underlying theme: making the most of time. The one who hid the money did not do it to steal it, but to return it just as it was. That's where the problem lies: 'just as it was'. It's the image of someone who doesn't commit.
—He did nothing bad nor good, but he deserved the label of 'wicked and lazy servant'. Love is never neutral!"
