The disciples approached him and said, “This is a deserted place and it is already late; dismiss the crowds so that they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.”
Gospel's Commentary
Today we are rendered in the reaction of the disciples: how easily we "send people away"! Jesus, however, displays a different mentality, another way of doing: even when resting, if He sees any needy souls, He jumps out of the boat and attends to them spiritually and materially (whatever it takes!).
-When we "send someone away” (because it is late, because ...) we are "sending God himself away”. How many reasons have we not given Him to get tired of us! And yet...
