Mt 13:1-9
On that day, Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the sea. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd stood along the shore. And he spoke to them at length in parables
Gospel's Commentary
Today many people want to listen to Jesus. From the shore they can hear Him well… And the young Teacher adapts Himself to such a large audience. He does not overwhelm them with a flood of laws that no one can understand. He speaks to them about life itself… —God is the good sower. There is plenty of seed! But if the soil has not been plowed, the seed bounces off and is lost. Are the furrows of my heart deep? Is it free of stones?
