The gift of the poor widow. God sees everything and focuses on the small

The gift of the poor widow. God sees everything and focuses on the small
Thirty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
Gospel text
Mk 12:38-44
Jesus sat down opposite the treasury and observed how the crowd put money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums. A poor widow also came and put in two small coins worth a few cents.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we "see" that God "sees" everything. God, being as great as He is (infinite), has a special liking for the small. Curious! Several times He said that the Kingdom of Heaven is like the mustard seed: a very tiny seed! Like that poor widow. In the eyes of men she meant nothing, her contribution was insignificant. "God does not care about quantity but about quality. That woman, by giving "whatever little" she had, she actually gave love. That awoke the gaze of Jesus-God!
