Bartimaeus' faith in Jesus restores his sight

Bartimaeus' faith in Jesus restores his sight
Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
Gospel text
Mk 10:46-52
As Jesus was leaving Jericho (...) a blind man, the son of Timaeus, sat by the roadside begging. On hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, son of David, have pity on me."
Gospel's Commentary
Today the blind Bartimaeus gives us a great lesson. He was living disregarded by everybody and he was desperate. This is why he could not stop screaming. There were many who told him to be quiet but he shouted even more. Jesus hears everything, always! but... He allowed Bartimaeus to keep on insisting more and more, while ignoring the “more cautious " people. —A good lesson Bartimaeus gives us! Do you listen too much to what others say? Listen to God instead for He listens to you!
