Thursday of the Twenty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text Lk 7:36-50
Now there was a sinful woman in the city who learned that he was at table in the house of the Pharisee. Bringing an alabaster flask of ointment, she stood behind him at his feet weeping and began to bathe his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them, and anointed them with the ointment.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we are touched by the tenderness of Jesus. He was invited by a Pharisee to have a meal… Everyone murmurs about what that woman does (Mary Magdalene) and about what Jesus allows her to do to him…
—Jesus is happy! Later on, Mary Magdalene will be the first person to see Jesus resurrected. If you want to find Jesus, tend to Jesus!
