Gospel text
Mt 23:27-32
Jesus said, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead men's bones and every kind of filth. Even so, on the outside you appear righteous, but inside you are filled with hypocrisy and evildoing."
Gospel's Commentary
Today, Jesus reproaches the usual ones (scribes and Pharisees) a very present vice: the hypocrisy of the "politically correct." Too much appearance, too much image! And so many big mouths! It seems more important "looking good" than "doing right". -Jesus did the other way round: He did right although He looked bad. Jesus didn’t follow “fashion"!
