Saturday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Mt 13:24-30
The slaves of the householder came to him and said, 'Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? Where have the weeds come from?'
Gospel's Commentary
Today we continue in the fields of the Kingdom. The tares appear! “To sow tares" sounds bad and has bad press. But there are some who dedicate themselves to that, making souls dizzy. We should not be surprised: Jesus himself had to endure them. He spent his life doing well to all and, you see, He ended on the Cross. "The followers of Christ cannot avoid the tares. Patience! Jesus did not condemn anyone and He rather came to save what was lost. The Justice of God includes the "Patience of God."
