Jesus tells us: "I desire mercy, not sacrifice."

Today we have to endure again the scolding of some Pharisees. Jesus and His disciples were going through a sowed field. Maybe it was midday and they were hungry. They began to eat ears of corn. Normal, right? Some people started to criticize them. The problem was not to eat those ears, the problem was that it was Saturday ... and on Saturday, according to them, it was not lawful to uproot ears. -If we do not pray, we position ourselves in the place of God, we invent laws and, instead of behaving with mercy, we begin to persecute the "innocents who do not think like me."
