Gospel text
Mt 11:20-24
“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes."
Gospel's Commentary
Today we are afraid of Jesus’ attitude. So serious is the issue? Jesus Christ complains of the lack of faith among the people of these towns. And this, despite the fact that Jesus Christ had made some great miracles there! To lack confidence in God: that is the only mistake we should never make. "Faith does not depend on miracles, but on our prayers and friendship with God. Miracles, miracles... they also occur in our days. But only God’s friends see them!
