“Look at my hands and feet and see that it is I myself”
Gospel's Commentary
Today we see Jesus resurrected before the Apostles again. They are hidden in a house because they are afraid. Even though the doors are closed, the resurrected Lord enters. They get scared: they think they see a ghost. Then Jesus shows them His hands and feet, with the wounds of the crucifixion… He even ate a bit so they would see that He had truly resurrected.
—Christ's hands and feet are pierced… They are His hands, they are His feet: it cannot be anyone else. It is you, Jesus!
