Jesus explains to Nicodemus how He will save the world

Jesus explains to Nicodemus how He will save the world
Fourth Sunday of Lent (B)
Gospel text
Jn 3:14-21
Jesus said to Nicodemus: “Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”
Gospel's Commentary
Today, we attend a high level dialogue. Nicodemus is a good teacher of the Law: without prejudices, humble, receptive! Christ announces “incomprehensibly” how He will save the world: “lifted up”. Did Nicodemus understand? At least, he listened carefully. This is what Christianity is about: to listen to the voice of God and to accept His will. - Nicodemus understood this later. There, in the Calvary, at the foot of the Cross was Nicodemus to receive and bury the Body of the Lord. There he met the Virgin Mary!
