Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute, and when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke and the crowds were amazed. Some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons.” Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we can see how far our mental blindness can take us when there is no love in our heart. Poor Jesus! He is approaching Jerusalem to deliver His life... And meanwhile, they claim He is possessed by the devil because He drives out demons. What silly nonsense! And on top of everything, they still go and demand from Him a miracle (?)
—Look at Him on the Cross. You cannot ask for anything else!
