Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair of Moses (...). For they preach but they do not practice."
Gospel's Commentary
Today the Scribes and the Pharisees are once again denounced by Jesus Himself. They call themselves Masters but they are no such thing, because they confuse people: “they tell others what to do but do not do it themselves”. What they utter by word they thrash with their deeds. Jesus Christ wants no enemies, but He can do nothing but speak up to help us out.
