February 22nd: Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter, Apostle

Simon Peter said in reply, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church."
Gospel's Commentary
Today we thank God for the mission entrusted to the Prince of the Apostles: St Peter. He received the mission of looking after the faith and after each one of us. This mission has been transmitted - without interruption – to the successors of Peter in the See of Rome.
—The Chair of St. Peter has not always shone as it should. This is because of human ambitions. But God always wins: "The gates of hell shall not prevail against it [the Church]" . Pray so that men do not muddy the waters anymore!
