Nathanael to Jesus: "Rabbi, you are the Son of God"

Today we read a funny story. Philip has been with Jesus and he is delighted. When finding his friend Nathanael, he tells him right away: -I have found the Savior, whom the people of Israel were waiting for, Jesus of Nazareth! Nathanael replies with little courtesy: “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” What a blunder! -Instead, Jesus speaks well of Nathanael: “Here is a true Israelite. There is no duplicity in him.” What a praise! And it is that God knows us deeply, without prejudice... and loves us as we are.
