The aged Simeon: "My own eyes have seen the salvation"

Today we hear the words of the old Simeon. We are in the Temple of Jerusalem. Mary and Joseph take their Child, who was 40 days old, to present him to the Lord. There they meet Simeon. He takes Jesus and feels totally happy: he does not miss anything else in this world, because "whoever has God lacks nothing". "God has come into the world. And you know it! Why do you complain when you think you're missing something?
