On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb...
Gospel's Commentary
Today, Mary Magdalene has risen early: interesting! ("The early bird gets the worm"). Just to meet Jesus Christ buried: interesting! (A lot of love is needed to go to such a sad place). But the grave is empty: interesting! (Jesus has risen, though she does not know it yet). Mary knows Jesus but she does not recognize Him when she sees Him resurrected: interesting! (Jesus Christ is not just someone who has "reappeared"). Jesus helps her to recognize Him. How? By calling her by her name! "Mary!" Immediately: "Master!" Interesting: just the name is enough! (They were good friends, good relationships).
"How many times has Jesus called you by your name?" Mary immediately threw herself at the feet of Jesus Christ. You, how long has it taken for you to do it? How often does God need to call you?
