They came to Jerusalem, and on entering the temple area he began to drive out those selling and buying there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves. He did not permit anyone to carry anything through the temple area.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we see Jesus displeased as never before. It is strange to imagine the Lord chasing people out of the Temple and knocking over their working tables. Something serious was happening! We have to pay attention: the Temple is the house of God and to speak with God. Tables, shops are left overs and also those who take advantage of God to do business. Out!
-And us, how are we acting regarding silence and adoration in our temples? Would Jesus be displeased again today?
