On leaving the synagogue he entered the house of Simon and Andrew with James and John. Simon’s mother-in-law lay sick with a fever. They immediately told him about her. He approached, grasped her hand, and helped her up.
Gospel's Commentary
Today Jesus goes out to preach, already in the company of His first Apostles. He has not come to preach a theory and weird doctrines; the Son of God has come to save us all with deeds. That is why He cures all the sick that are brought to Him.
- Besides, “at the break of dawn, when it was still dark, He got up, and set off to a lonely place to pray ”. Prayer, here is the remedy!
