Some of the crowd said: “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons.” Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we must learn a fundamental lesson: the only valid response before God is our faith, opening our heart confidently. Without faith we "get confused", we become hopeless: we see a miracle and we say that He is evil, but we immediately demand another miracle.
- Finally, when Jesus publicly and solemnly affirmed that He is the "Son of God" then, we don’t rejoice, we send Him to Calvary and hang Him on the Cross instead. Are we out of our mind? “Whoever is not with me… scatters”, clearly.
