Parables of Jesus: The Lost Sheep. Jesus is my Shepherd

Parables of Jesus: The Lost Sheep. Jesus is my Shepherd
Tuesday of the Nineteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Mt 18:1-5, 10, 12-14
If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the "stray?"
Gospel's Commentary
Today we imagine a little mischievous lamb named Bel. He often hid just to hear the shepherd’s voice calling him by name: “Bel, Bel!” One day Bel truly got lost. The shepherd searched anxiously for him. He did not find him until late in the day, at the edge of a ravine filled with thorns. “Bel, what are you doing here? Come!” Covered with scratches, the shepherd whistled happily as he returned home with Bel. —Jesus, You are my shepherd. Never allow me to stray from You.
