Jesus emphasizes the importance of purity of heart and the sanctity of marriage

Jesus emphasizes the importance of purity of heart and the sanctity of marriage
Friday of the Tenth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Mt 5:27-32
Jesus said to his disciples: “You have heard that it was said, You shall not commit adultery. But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Gospel's Commentary
Today, again, we listen to Jesus as a "divine teacher." Today He speaks about marriage. From the outset, he confirms that parents’ love is forever (there is no "part-time love"). We already knew this! But Jesus Christ goes a step further: He asks for a delicate love (is there a "rude love"?). —”Delicate love"? Friendly language, friendly gesture and "ecological look". Yes, a look that does not put calculations on the body of the other, but embraces the whole being of the person I am seeing. This is the gaze of Jesus!
