«Now I am going to the one who sent me (...). But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts».
Gospel's Commentary
Today, we listen with dismay to the voice of the Lord. He is talking about His departure. It hurts us, above all because He is referring to His departure through His death on the Cross. But, at the end, our grief will turn into joy: as an outcome of His sacrifice, He and the Father will send us the Holy Spirit.
- The coming of God Holy Spirit to our souls is the signal of Jesus’ triumph, reinforcement to our faith and a criticism to the lazy ones that deny the possibility of sanctity.
