Jesus scolds the unjust Pharisees: one must be faithful in small things

Jesus scolds the unjust Pharisees: one must be faithful in small things
Saturday of the Thirty-first Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Lk 16:9-15
Jesus said to his disciples, "(...) The person who is trustworthy in very small matters is also trustworthy in great ones (...). No servant can serve two masters."
Gospel's Commentary
Today Jesus Christ leads us to a faithful love. How? The little things! God himself, being so great, has become "small". In Bethlehem, in the Eucharist ... And in the Cross He remained "small". "Come down from the cross and we will believe in You": Jesus did not come down! He preferred to stay small. -When the man "neglects" the faith (for example, by not going to Mass), almost without realizing it, he leaves God aside, like a "vase" ("I do not deny you, but I do not need you anymore") . In the end, He is denied ("you no longer exist"). And more in the end, the man "neglects" the man (family, colleagues ...). Conclusion: God or nothing!
