When Jesus raised his eyes and saw that a large crowd was coming to him, he said to Philip, “Where can we buy enough food for them to eat?”
Gospel's Commentary
Today we see a crowd seeking Jesus because they need help. First, they need physical health. Jesus works hard to heal their sicknesses, and He even feeds their hunger. There is no limit to God’s power and love—He feeds five thousand men... thirty thousand people...
But the Lord also tells them to work for a different kind of bread—the kind that leads to Heaven. This is His teaching, which feeds our souls.
