If we acknowledge Christ before men, He will acknowledge us before God the Father

If we acknowledge Christ before men, He will acknowledge us before God the Father
Saturday of the Twenty-eighth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Lk 12:8-12
“Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven."
Gospel's Commentary
Today the infinitely merciful God surprises us. What is it that will not be forgiven? Why will it not be forgiven? The answer is simple: God cannot “impose” His forgiveness! Here “my” freedom emerges in all its strength: God makes Himself powerless before it! If someone prefers to laugh at or mock God, paying no attention to His mercy, then that person remains trapped in mockery and does not even get to “smell” God’s forgiveness. —Jesus, it is almost frightening that You have given us so much power. From this very moment I give You my freedom: it is Yours, my Lord!
