The persecutor of the Church becomes an apostle of Christ

The persecutor of the Church becomes an apostle of Christ
January 25th: Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul, Apostle
Gospel text
Mk 16:15-18
Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature."
Gospel's Commentary
Today we remember Jesus’ last words to His Apostles. At that time, St. Paul was not yet part of the group of the Apostles. He joined them later on, after his conversion. And he complied to the letter of the apostolic demand. Paul, throughout three long trips, traveled half the world to preach Christ. This is why he is the "Apostle to the Gentiles”. —It took many years for Saul to meet Jesus. You, probably, have known Him from a young age. So you have time to go with Jesus Christ many more miles than St. Paul!
