Gospel text
Mk 8:22-26
When Jesus and his disciples arrived at Bethsaida, people brought to him a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village.
Gospel's Commentary
Today the scene we witness is funny indeed. Jesus listens to the plea for curing the blind man and He takes him out of town. Why is that, we may ask ourselves! Simply because Jesus is no “circus magician” and thus, He does not seek to play the star. The Pharisees asked Him to do a visible miracle for them to see; He though, acts with discretion. -Our God is a discreet God! When He works a miracle He does not seek to impress. but to be of help to us: Love is service in silence!
