He ordered the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then, taking the seven loaves he gave thanks, broke them, and gave them to his disciples to distribute, and they distributed them to the crowd (...). They ate and were satisfied
Gospel's Commentary
Today Jesus opens up His Heart: “I feel sorry for these people, for it is now three days since they started following me…” Three days with the Master! First He has given them the “food” for the soul: religious teachings. After, Jesus corresponds to the fidelity of His followers, He does not let them go hungry: there was food for all (over 20,000 mouths).
-Some of them perhaps have left earlier. We always find people who are in a hurry! Just imagine what they missed!
