Gospel text
Mk 7:31-37
Jesus left the district of Tyre and went by way of Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, into the district of the Decapolis. And people brought to him a deaf man who had a speech impediment and begged him to lay his hand on him.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we are happy to see that Jesus has gone out to the “peripheries” to preach, and even away from Israel. In our time and through the Church and the Eucharist, Christ makes Himself present in the peripheries all over the place. -By the way, there is a trick out there that always works: pray for yourself; but above all, do pray for the needs of others. You’ll “get Him”, by doing that, I can assure you!
