Jesus calms the storm

Jesus calms the storm
Saturday of the Third Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Mk 4:35-41
He woke up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Quiet! Be still!” The wind ceased and there was great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you terrified?"
Gospel's Commentary
Today we are sailing with Jesus and the Apostles. There is a storm at sea; strong winds, big waves. Jesus is sleeping; we are scared: it looks like the boat can sink at any moment. And then we think of awakening the Lord. —Why are we afraid if Jesus is with us? Jesus sleeps, but God - actually - never sleeps: He always sees everything. He is our Father who is watching over His children. It is matter of having faith!
