The Kingdom of God is near: the Church of Jesus spreads throughout the world

The Kingdom of God is near: the Church of Jesus spreads throughout the world
Friday of the Thirty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Lk 21:29-33
Jesus told his disciples a parable. “Consider the fig tree and all the other trees. When their buds burst open, you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near."
Gospel's Commentary
Today we are asking Jesus: what are the "buds" that will allow us to have a foretaste of the Kingdom of God? The truth is that the Son of God became man through incarnation more than 2,000 years ago and founded the Church we now can see quite alive and spread all over the five continents. That's how it is! —We will soon initiate the time of Advent, on our way to Christmas. We will celebrate again that Jesus was born and... how His love can be felt! This is His Kingdom!
