Jesus asks us: Who am I?

Jesus asks us: Who am I?
Friday of the Twenty-fifth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Lk 9:18-22
Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter said in reply, “The Christ of God.”
Gospel's Commentary
Today, just like in Jesus' times, many things are said about Him, "Some say, John the Baptist; others Elijah..." The same goes for the Church and the Pope (whether he should open up; whether he should be silent; that those things are part of the past…). There are all sorts of opinions! (As if it were a matter of science fiction). Being in front of God, shouldn't we search more and opine less? How easy it is to have an opinion about Jesus Christ without following in his footprints! —But when Jesus asks you in particular, "What do you say about me?" What will you answer then? Or in front of others, what do you say about Him?
