The Christian journeys with Jesus: The Cross is part of the baggage

The Christian journeys with Jesus: The Cross is part of the baggage
Twenty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time (C)
Gospel text
Lk 14:25-33
Great crowds were traveling with Jesus, and he turned and addressed them, “If anyone comes to me without hating his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple..."
Gospel's Commentary
Today we discover that Christian life is a journey with Jesus. And in His "car" we all fit: relatives, friends ... But although many people aim to be Christians, in reality, they do not travel with Jesus: they remain at the starting point, or leave soon, or make another trip with other companions ... How come? Baggage problems! -Well ... our luggage is the Cross! Which is worth one’s while if it means going with Jesus!
