Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood, live in me and I in them

Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood, live in me and I in them
Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
Gospel text
Jn 6:51-58
"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life."
Gospel's Commentary
Today the Jews become annoyed with Jesus because he tells them something “incredible”: we must eat His Body and drink His Blood in order to go to heaven. But, how do we do this? Now we understand it: it is through the Eucharistic Communion! The bread and the wine that are consecrated during mass mysteriously become the Body and Blood of Christ. God is the Creator and he can do that! —God trusts us with His mysteries, mostly so that we may accept them, even though we do not understand them fully. Jesus, I trust you!
