A Canaanite woman of that district came and called out, “Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is tormented by a demon.” ...He said in reply, “It is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.” She said, “Please, Lord, for even the dogs eat the scraps that fall from the table of their masters.”
Gospel's Commentary
Today, the Master teaches us that it is very important to insist on our prayer. Like that Canaanite woman: it seems that Jesus ignores her, but she insists with humility. Perhaps, sometime, you think that before God you are like a "puppy": do not give up! Pray ask!
"The disciples thought the Canaanite was a pain in the neck and they wanted to get rid of her. But, on the other hand, she stole Jesus’ heart!
