Gospel text
Mt 13:24-43
"The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field. While everyone was asleep his enemy came and sowed weeds all through the wheat..."
Gospel's Commentary
Today many protest against the evils of the world and they even dare to dispute with God on this issue. With the "Parable of the wheat and the tares", Jesus warns us against evil. Christ speaks unobtrusively of the "enemy": it is the Devil! The funny thing is that we easily laugh at his existence - things of the past! - But then we “outrage “ourselves by his iniquities. -What does Jesus Christ advocate to us? Realism (God's "enemy" does exist), patience (to give us opportunity to conversion) and trust in God (the evil one will be judged and eliminated).
