The path of the apostles is difficult, but the Holy Spirit accompanies them

The path of the apostles is difficult, but the Holy Spirit accompanies them
Friday of the Fourteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Gospel text
Mt 10:16-23
Jesus said to his Apostles: “Behold, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves."
Gospel's Commentary
Today the Lord warns us that the apostle's path is not a "path of roses". The example and the word of the apostle awaken the consciences. But the "lazy ones" and the "shameless" (those who criticize the religion while they live by “cheating”) usually become angry. Simple souls listen and thank; others, on the other hand, react against the apostle. - If Jesus suffered it, why may not it happen to us?" Therefore, be careful not to cause fires (avoid arguments); let us be simple to put out fires (the joy that disarms). But in any case, "do not worry" because Jesus is not far.
